From Me to You

It’s quite a mad thing to do . . .
But here we are and Canberra’s specialist slot car and small gauge train store has struggled its way into the world.
This blog will appear once every week or so – sometimes long, sometimes short, sometimes informative, sometimes a bit of rant.
This week it’s mostly just “welcome, let’s meet up some time!”

Buying stuff made easy

Yes, this is all a not too subtle plot to get you to buy stuff. But that aside . . .
The simplest way to make a purchase is to have a look round the site and then place an on-line order and then collect it from our store or have us post it to you.
We are located inside at the Looking for Gamers board game shop at 3/66 Primmer Court in Kambah Village. That’s not far from the Burns Club. There’s plenty of parking and it’s free.
There’s a pay, click and collect option to make it all easy.
There are discounts for shopping in person and attending in-store events. And it’s more fun too. Plus there are many, many excellent Board Games at LFG to eye-off as well.
We want you to talk to us about your slot car and model train needs. We offer help with repairs and in tracking stuff* down too. But more on that anon . . .
For more on what we are about, click on LFG’s Charles Bishop’s recent interview as to why it’s important that hobbies like ours have a “meeting place”:

What works best for now – buy on-line and collect from our shop

We hold some stock at LFG but not a lot. We are a store within a store and, unlike a TARDIS, we aren’t bigger on the inside than the store’s shopfront might suggest.
So, for local shoppers, it’s best to place an order in advance and pick it up during shop hours or when we are open for regular events. For now, the latter mostly take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:00pm.
Otherwise, we will accept payment on-line and post your items to you. Postage per item is much cheaper the more you buy in one hit.
PayPal is available too.
